I was a Costco member for a year or two. The deals were great, but somehow I ended up with a lot of stuff that I never knew I couldn't live without. It was great for parties. Now without it, well, it might be said that I don't give enough parties anymore.
But what occurred to me is this possibility: that people drive big SUVs and live in big houses so that they can have some place to put all the stuff they buy at big box stores.
Maybe it's the other way around.
