Don't mind me

In my distraction, please check out other worthwhile discussions. I recommend Ed Cone's great reporting on the Greensboro Truth and Reconciliation Commission hearings. I note that the Greensboro City Council is in 100 percent non-attendance. If this kind of event were going on in Chapel Hill, I can guarantee you that at least one council member would be there--probably more than one.

Also recommended is my council colleague Mark Kleinschmidt's new blog. He's up at the Kennedy School of Government for three weeks in a program for state and local leaders. He's off to a great start as a blogger, and the program he's in sounds really wonderful.

This great first lines game is fun too.
