Local entertainment

It's Friday night, and the rest of my family is out of town. What to do? Get in the car, listen to a CD checked out from the Chapel Hill Public Library of music by Roger Hannay; go see the Smith Middle School production of Metamorphoses; while waiting for the curtain, read Fred Hobson's The Silencing of Emily Mullen.

I could spend the rest of my days enjoying the accomplishments of people I know.
